Preparing Girl Scouts for the Future
As Girl Scouts San Diego consider its ‘North Star’ and how to best serve more than 24,000 girl and adult members across San Diego and Imperial counties into the future, the need for a new strategic plan and vision was clear.
While leading all marketing and communications for the regional nonprofit, I was instrumental in the development of its 2024-2028 Strategic Plan and Vision. Once it was finalized, presented to the board of directors, and approved, I put together an integrated marketing communications campaign that utilized the following to engage various stakeholders—girl and adult members, volunteers, donors, media, regional leaders, community partners, and more:
Digital marketing channels: social media, email newsletters, website landing page
PR/media relations, including a press conference on International Women’s Day 2024
Internal Communications: talking points & FAQs for forward-facing staff
Multimedia, photos and brand video
Design elements, digital and printed assets
Together, all the marketing communications pieces told a cohesive story that showcased Girl Scouts San Diego’s commitment to continuing to empower girls, build future leaders, and make a lasting impact in our community.
